KSB Stiftung
DAAD/Lohmann
The KSB Stiftung Scholarship is awarded by the DAAD-Stiftung from funds donated annually by the KSB Stiftung.
The KSB Stiftung is a non-profit foundation with legal capacity under German law, which was established in 1964 through a donation of shares by the then Managing Director of KSB.
Its charitable purpose is to promote science and research as well as education. Since 2021, for example, it has been sponsoring study visits lasting a maximum of half a year with the help of the DAAD-Stiftung. Master's students from abroad as well as German Master's students, graduates, doctoral candidates and post-doctoral candidates may be selected for such a scholarship for a research stay in Germany or abroad, respectively.
With regard to the topic, the KSB Stiftung centers upon the sustainable extraction, generation, processing and use of energy, water and raw materials. Accordingly, the focus lies on supporting students and academics in the fields of natural science, engineering, economics and industrial engineering.
The DAAD-Stiftung follows the guidelines of its trustee, the DAAD e.V., regarding the processing and scope of the scholarship.
The first scholarship holder of the KSB Stiftung Scholarship from October 2021 to March 2022 was Konstantin Scheihing, who conducted research on groundwater sustainability in Delft and consequently published a paper on this topic.
