The year 2015 marked the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Germany and Israel. on this occasion Dr. Winkler created a scholarship in order to invite Israeli students for a language course in Germany. (2015-2022)

The Dr. Angela Merkel Scholarship Programme for Indian Law students was established in 2011. Each year, the programme enables six Indian graduate students, who have attained an undergraduate degree in Law, to enrol in a master’s degree programme in European Law at a German university.
