The DAAD-Stiftung offers you a number of possibilities to make a personal contribution to worldwide academic exchange. It is entirely on you to decide whether you would like to support one of our own funding projects or rather finance something personally important to you.

Your donation to our Emergency Fund
With this funding project, the DAAD-Stiftung comes to the aid of students and researchers who suffer unexpected hardship through no fault of their own during their academic careers. With your donation, the DAAD-Stiftung can help them continue their studies when personal or political factors might have otherwise forced them to interrupt or discontinue their studies altogether.

Donations with a specified purpose
Your donation, your idea
By making a purpose-specific donation, you can decide how your donation should be used. Your instructions are formalised in an individual grant agreement. We guarantee that your money will be allocated to the purpose that you have specified.
Donation modalities: You can make a purpose-specific donation once, several times or on a regular basis. For better effectiveness and administrative reasons, we recommend making a minimum donation of 10,000 euros.
If there is any remaining amount after the realization of the purpose you define it shall be spend according to the rules of the DAAD-Stiftung's charter.
Your endowment for the funding project of the DAAD-Stiftung
Your investment in the DAAD-Stiftung
By providing an endowment, you help increase the capital of the DAAD-Stiftung. The earned revenues from this capital base allow the foundation to finance measures as put forth in the charter of the foundation, the funding project, initiated and managed by the foundation itself.
Endowment modalities: You can contribute an endowment to the funding project once, several times or on a regular basis. For better effectiveness and administrative reasons, we recommend contributing a minimum endowment of 1,000 euros.

By contributing a purpose-specific endowment, you can decide how the earned revenues should be used. Your instructions are formalised in an individual grant agreement. We guarantee that your money will be allocated to the purpose that you have specified.
Endowment modalities: You can contribute an endowment to the funding project once, several times or on a regular basis. For better effectiveness and administrative reasons, we recommend contributing a minimum endowment of 100,000 euros.

Planning your legacy
Do you share the values and goals of the DAAD-Stiftung and wish to convey this in a special way? You can support the DAAD-Stiftung in the long term by means of estate planning. We would be happy to sit down with you and discuss the terms for setting up a trust in your name.

There are occasions in private and public life, at which relatives and acquaintances are willing to donate to a special cause. Naturally, you have the possibility to ask for such donations to support the charitable work of the DAAD-Stiftung.
